The other is called “autoimmune thyroiditis” or Hashimoto’s thyroiditis which is caused by the body’s own immune system. Signs and symptoms of this disease are fatigue, weakness, weight gain, coarse dry hair, rough skin, muscle cramps and pain, constipation, irritability, memory loss and decreased libido. Treatment may vary according to the severity of the case and usually most patients will be prescribed of pills for hormonal imbalances.

Menopause

Menopause is the time of a woman’s life wherein you stop menstruating. This happens as early as age 35 and as late as 60 years of age depending on your hormonal production as well as family history which matters also. Estrogen and progesterone are hormones which are responsible for your menstruation cycle and these are produced and secreted by the endocrine system specifically the reproductive organ or ovaries of women. These hormones are very important in creating a “balanced” system within a woman’s reproductive organs as its production decreases as we age. Most women who are experiencing menopause possess the signs and symptoms like irregular menstruation period, irritability, hot flashes and night sweats. The entire menopause cycle usually last for 15 years until menstruation comes to a complete stop.
